Like our founders, the Friedman Foundation for Educational Choice believes that the achievement of educational freedom requires an ongoing effort to educate the public about the need for universal school choice as well as the cooperation of the many groups around the country devoted to improving the quality of K-12 education.
Given this, it is our view that as the issue is gaining momentum across the country, state-based think tanks are critical to the current and future success of school choice.
We are now offering our third annual $25,000 Grant Award for Innovation in Promoting School Choice. The purpose of this award is twofold: to encourage new and innovative efforts to promote school choice in specific states and to develop long-lasting partnerships with state-based think tanks as they undertake efforts to promote the issue.
